LG G3 Vigor (G3 S) is headed to both AT&T and Sprint

It turns out that the HTC Desire 510 isn’t the only new mid-range Android smartphone that Sprint will start selling this Friday, on September 19. It will be joined in the Now Network’s portfolio by the LG G3 Vigor.

This simply seems to be the G3 S or G3 Beat under a new name, and the fact that it would be picked up by Sprint and sold as the G3 Vigor got leaked in August. So this smartphone has already received three different names so far – depending on which part of the world you buy it in, you might be looking at a G3 Beat, G3 S, or G3 Vigor.

Over at Sprint, it will have a full retail price of $299.99, excluding taxes. That said, you can use Sprint’s Easy Pay installments to get it, in which case you shell out nothing upfront, then followed by 24 monthly payments of $12.50. You’ll still need to get a service plan, of course.

The G3 Vigor will be sold by Sprint in Burgundy Red and Metallic Black. It will support Wi-Fi calling and Sprint’s Spark LTE.

Following Sprint’s announcement, AT&T has also come forward admitting that it too will offer the G3 Vigor at some point in the future. However, this carrier decided not to make pricing and availability information public just yet.

The G3 Vigor sports a 5-inch 720p IPS touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and laser autofocus, and a 1.3 MP front snapper. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, with a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU aided by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. The battery has 2,540 mAh capacity, and the Vigor runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
