RPCS3 is an open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator written in C++ programming language and development of this emulator began on 23rd May, 2011, RPCS3 was founded by programmers DH and Hykem, it is available for Linux and Windows released under license GNU General Public License Version 2 (June 1991). It currently supports modern Vulkan, Direct3D 12 and OpenGL graphic APIs. The emulator is capable of booting and playing hundreds of commercial games.
