iPadOS 13.4 is an interesting release. It's primarily for the new magic keyboard coming in May, but anyone with existing Magic Keyboards, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse and any modern iPad can take advantage of it today. I have a 5th generation iPad; 13.4 is a huge improvement with the trackpad.

Apple is encouraging developers to update their apps with the new APIs before the May hardware release.

Better than MS Office?
For a lot of use cases it is, I do all my personal accounting in Numbers, for simple documents to be sent as PDF Pages is superior, easier to use and navigate than Word, and I have my documents at hand at all times at my Mac, my iPhone or any browser in an emergency at a internet café or someone else’s PC. All of this included in the hardware I have, no subscriptions, etc. The advantage of iWork and similar offerings, is that it does well what the majority of people need. The value that I would get from an O365 subscription will be substantially less than the price of admission, just like with Adobe’s Creative Cloud, the few times a year I need to open -not edit or tweak- an Illustrator file sent to me its just not worth it to suscribe to the service. More and more alternatives are coming up for these scenarios.

Better than MS Office?
iWork is way much cleaner and fun to use. I use it all the time for personal and small business documents and presentations. However, there’s no Access, Onenote, outlook, share point.
