Fantastical developer Flexibits, Genshin Impact, and Share the Meal have all provided photos of their awards. Constructed from 100 percent recycled aluminum, the square-shaped award features a mirror-like ‌App Store‌ logo on the front with the name of the winner engraved on the back.

Alongside the award, Apple is providing winners with a congratulatory letter that's signed by Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Congratulations! Your app is one of the best of 2020. Every year, the App Store celebrates exceptional apps that improve people's lives. These apps showcase the highest levels of quality, innovation and impact, and Apple is proud to recognize your app this year. Thank you for making a dent in the universe in 2020.

Along with Fantastical, Genshin Impact, and ShareTheMeal, other App Store award winners this year included Wakeout!, Zoom, Disco Elysium, Disney+, Dandara Trials of Fear, Endel, and Sneaky Sasquatch. Apple also highlighted Everything Whiteboard, Caribu, Pokémon Go, and Shine.

Fantastical was great before they decided to back-stab us (paying customers). I decided to use the iOS free version and a cracked version for macOS. And I sync everything thru calDAV since I don't want Apple having access.
You don’t want Apple to see your data but are happy to run it though software modified and distributed by a gang of criminals?

I wonder if they’re solid aluminum.

It’s a shame they don’t light up like the cubes they used to give out.

Agree with John Gruber’s take ('https://daringfireball.net/linked/2020/12/03/app-store-best-apps-and-games-of-2020') that it’s a little troubling that Apple awarded a game that’s such a cash extractor.

Is it strange to say that I’ve never even heard of most of them until seeing it today?

The real App Store died with iOS 10, back before it was full of ads, articles, and liberal propaganda.

With a 3.2 star rating, it still gets an award? Apple sure lowering the bar. Many people going to run out to "attempt" to grab this app, until they see the ridiculous subscription fee.
Feel bad for the apps without subscriptions that got snubbed because of name recognition
