Accessory maker Twelve South has today announced the dual-purpose ParcSlope stand for MacBook and iPad, offering improved comfort and airflow.

Users can benefit from better ergonomics and cooling for MacBooks, while iPads can take advantage of the stand's 18-degree angle for typing or sketching with Apple Pencil. The stand can hold every ‌iPad‌ model, except the iPad mini, in landscape or portrait mode.

Like many other popular Twelve South stands, ParcSlope is constructed from a single piece of metal, offers built-in cable management, and is available in matte black. The racetrack-shaped top rest contains soft ridges that allow the lid of a MacBook to hinge open freely, and the notched front lip enables users to open their MacBook with just one hand.

The new Twelve South ParcSlope is now available online for $59.99.

PSA: If you are here to chime in with "overpriced", "who would buy this", "what kind of moron spends that much on something you can get for $5 at _____.com" or anything remotely similar, please just move on.

I do NOT recommend this for the iPad Pro 3rd generation or later (the flat redesign), ESPECIALLY if you're using it for drawing or writing.

I'm an artist. I've had the previous version of this stand, and while it was wonderful for my iPad Pro 2nd gen, the 3rd gen got warped in the middle since there's absolutely no support behind it except the top and the bottom, due to the weaker structure of the newer iPads. If you do not want your iPad Pro to warp while drawing or writing on this, get something where the entire backside of the iPad is supported and resting against something, such as the (much cheaper) Parblo stands on Amazon. You will unintentionally put *just* enough pressure on these iPads that they will warp, given that these iPads have already been notorious for warping to begin with, this will only accelerate that issue.

Great for MacBooks, though.

EDIT: Here's a pic of the previous version of the ParcSlope stand that TwelveSouth released a few years ago.

Also, they're really capitalizing on the hipster sect with a name like ParcSlope!
How's that? I lived in Park Slope from 2012-2019, and it's very much not hipster at all. Williamsburg/Bushwick, sure, but Park Slope is not hipster land.

One angle and doesn't fold up, no thanks.

For iPads this one is a beast. I have one and I use it for 11" and 12.9" Pros. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074J159V5/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A2FUU2X6GHMGEI&psc=1

For MacBook I have something very similar to this. https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Adjustable-Aluminum-Ergonomic-Compatible/dp/B089YRC1P7/ref=sr_1_30?dchild=1&keywords=computer+stand&qid=1611070195&sr=8-30

I was about to say, this doesn't seem like a good stand for the iPad Pro since everyone seems to complain how easily they bend (I've had mine for almost 2 years and still no bend)... I wouldn't want to use this stand with my iPad for anything more than movie watching, but then its at the wrong angle... so it does seem pretty pointless!
