I do have to wonder who the hell is running Apple Music platform behind the scenes.

The whole thing is constantly buggy as hell, at least on my Mac. Half the time it doesn't successfully sync the library and then refuses to add tracks.

I'm surprised anyone noticed it was broken more than normal....

Been dealing with this for a couple hours. Honestly, I think I'm done with Apple Music for a while. Been a loyal customer for 4 years, and on and off before that.

I really am not a Spotify fan, but aside from when the whole damn internet goes out (AWS), I've rarely ever had an issue. I just wanna listen to my damn music.

With AM, I feel like I'm constantly fighting bugs. Incorrectly matched songs after years of it being fine, desktop app not syncing correctly and erasing all of my changes, my songs list jumping all the way to the bottom of my library when I add a song to a playlist for over a YEAR now, etc. It's tiring.

Apple has never gotten cloud services right. Syncing anything is still hit or miss. They need to poach some people from Google or whoever knows what they're doing.

I can't see myself being tempted by other services until they come out with equivalent lossless support for no extra cost. IMO, Apple leapfrogged the competition in terms of cost/feature ratios with that move.

I'd like Apple Music to be more stable, but it isn't nearly bad enough to cause me to jump ship.

EDIT
I thought I’d mention that my use case for lossless isn’t Bluetooth (in which case lossless wouldn’t make much difference). Anyone who doubts the difference lossless makes should try listening to a well recorded track in both lossless and 256-bit through a high end system. I have a hard believing anyone with good hearing could miss the difference. (Though I know some people just don’t care enough about it for it to matter.)

I don't know what it is but I'm not a big fan of Apple music anymore. I think it needs to be fully revamped.
