Napredovanje u smeru stvaranja manjih NAND jedinica omogu\u0107uje stalni napredak i uvo\u0111enje novih na\u010dina kori\u0161\u0107enja tehnologije. Ne samo da je 25nm proces najmanji kada je re\u010d o NAND tehnologiji, nego je to najmanja tehnologija poluprovodnika na svetu, \u0161to predstavlja tehnolo\u0161ko unapre\u0111enje koje \u0107e omogu\u0107iti dalji razvoj muzi\u010dkih, video i drugih sadr\u017eaja u potro\u0161a\u010dkim proizvodima i kompjuterskim aplikacijama.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->NAND tehnologiju je proizvela kompanija IM Flash Technologies (IMFT), kao zajedni\u010dki projekat kompanija Intel i Micron, ima 8 gigabajta skladi\u0161nog prostora u jednom ure\u0111aju, \u010dime je stvoreno re\u0161enje visokog kapaciteta za skladi\u0161tenje sadr\u017eaja dana\u0161njih malih potro\u0161a\u010dkih ure\u0111aja. Sa povr\u0161inom od svega 167mm<sup>2<\/sup> toliko malom da mo\u017ee pro\u0107i kroz sredi\u0161nji otvor na kompakt disku, ovi ure\u0111aji imaju 10 puta ve\u0107i kapacitet nego onaj na standardnom CD-u od 700 megabajta.<\/p>\n<p>Posve\u0107eno\u0161\u0107u i investicijama u NAND istra\u017eivanja i razvoj, Intel i Micron su postigli da se gustina NAND ure\u0111aja pribli\u017eno duplo uve\u0107a na svakih 18 meseci, \u0161to vodi manjim, isplativijim proizvodima ve\u0107eg kapaciteta. IMFT je zapo\u010deo proizvodnju sa 50nm procesom u 2006. godini, da bi u 2008. godini bio pokrenut i 34nm proces. Sa dana\u0161njim 25nm procesom, kompanije oja\u010davaju vo\u0111stvo u domenu proizvodnje uvo\u0111enjem najmanje poluprovodni\u010dke litografije dostupne industriji.<\/p>\n<p>\u201ePredvo\u0111enje \u010ditave poluprovodni\u010dke industrije u najnaprednijoj procesnoj tehnologiji je izvanredno dostignu\u0107e za kompanije Intel i Micron, i nadamo se da \u0107emo nastaviti da i u budu\u0107nosti pomeramo standarde i granice\u201d kazao je Brian Shirley, potpredsednik grupe za memorije u kompaniji Micron. \u201eOva tehnologija proizvodnje omogu\u0107i\u0107e zna\u010dajne pogodnosti za na\u0161e korisnike kroz re\u0161enja ve\u0107e gustine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201eKroz stalno investiranje u IMFT, mi obezbe\u0111ujemo najnovije tehnologije i proizvodnju koja omogu\u0107ava najefikasniju i najpouzdaniju NAND memoriju,\u201d izjavio je Tom Rampone, potpredsednik i generalni direktor grupe Intel NAND Solutions. \u201eOvo \u0107e obezbediti ubrzano prihvatanje SSD re\u0161enja u ra\u010dunarstvu.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Po\u010detak serijske proizvodnje 25nm ure\u0111aja od 8GB o\u010dekivan je u drugom kvartalu 2010. godine. Posebna pogodnost ovog procesa je mogu\u0107nost slaganja 8GB ure\u0111aja kako bi bio dodatno uve\u0107an kapacitet skladi\u0161tenja podataka. Umanjenje u veli\u010dini iznosi 50 odsto, u pore\u0111enju sa prethodnom procesnom generacijom, omogu\u0107uje manje a gu\u0161\u0107e (i time isplativije) proizvode.
