Podeljen na tri sekcije kontrolni centar AVG Anti virus \u0161titi u tri klju\u010dne oblasti. ResidentShield radi u pozadini i proverava sve fajlove i tipove fajlova (uklju\u010duju\u0107i floopy disk, CD sadr\u017eaj, itd) na viruse, dok Email Scanner radi sa Microsoft Exchange-om i Outlook-om. Tako\u0111e, nova verzija AVG Free sada poseduje i skener linkova. On proverava rezultate pretraga sa sajtova kao \u0161to je Google da bi se uverio da nema zlonamernih script-ova i prikazuje ikonu koja ukazuje na nivo pretnje. Ipak, aktivna za\u0161tita protiv zlonamernih script-ova je dostupna samo kod verzije AVG-a koja se pla\u0107a dok besplatna nema ovu funkcionalnost ve\u0107 samo upozorava.
